Mobile Vet Center services

The Mobile Vet Center brings the comprehensive services provided at the Fargo and Grand Forks locations to the communities of Otter Tail County, ensuring that veterans, service members, and their families can access the support they need, even if transportation is a challenge.

Expanded services

The primary goal of the Mobile Vet Center is to reach those in remote areas who may struggle to access services due to distance. Using the mobile van, the Fargo Vet Center will now serve 67 counties across Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota, greatly increasing its reach and impact.

Service offerings

The Mobile Vet Center offers a wide range of services, including:

  • Individual and group counseling for veterans, service members, and their families
  • Family counseling for military-related issues
  • Bereavement counseling for families who have experienced an active-duty death
  • Military sexual trauma counseling and referral
  • Outreach and education, including Post-Deployment Health Reassessment
  • Community events
  • Substance abuse assessment and referral
  • Employment assessment and referral
  • Veterans Benefits Administration benefits explanation and referral
  • Screening and referral for medical issues, including Traumatic Brain Injury and Depression

Keep in touch

The Mobile Vet Center will visit Otter Tail County every third Tuesday of the month from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Service locations within the county will vary, so veterans are encouraged to visit the Otter Tail County Veterans Service event calendar for the latest updates. Veterans are also encouraged to visit the Notification Center and sign up for the “Veterans Service News” topic.

Veterans who believe they may need services or wish to determine their eligibility are encouraged to contact the Fargo Vet Center at 701-237-0942, the Fergus Falls Veterans Service Office at 218-998-8605, or the New York Mills office at 218-385-5540.
