Reporting Abuse and Neglect

To make a report of child abuse/neglect during regular business hours (M-F 8-4:30 pm) please contact a Children Services Intake Worker at 218-998-8150. After hours call 218-998-8555 (non-emergency) or 911 (emergency).

Reports can be made anonymously, unless you are a mandated reporter (see below).

Mandated Reporter Information

Minnesota law requires workers in a number of professions to report suspected child maltreatment, including:

  • Child care
  • Clergy
  • Corrections
  • Education
  • Health care
  • Law enforcement
  • Psychological treatment
  • Social service
