Resources and information about paying for child care

Learn the Basics

Child Care Aware has information for families about the types of child care, regulations, and child care costs.

Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) Caregivers care for children outside of a formal child care setting on a regular basis and may provide care for free or with payment. The Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families has resources for these caregivers through their FFN Minnesota initiative.

Become a Provider

Child care providers are needed to support families, children, and our communities. Anyone caring for more than one unrelated family member is required to be licensed.
