Food, pool and lodging regulatory programs are authorized through the Prairie Lakes Community Health Board through a delegation agreement with the Minnesota Department of Health. This agreement addresses health and safety requirements for food, beverage and lodging, mobile home parks and campgrounds, swimming pools, vacation home rentals, and youth camps within Otter Tail and Wilkin counties. Additional services include:
- Issuing licenses for regulated establishments
- Responding to complaints, nuisances and natural disasters
- Supporting outbreak investigations for regulated establishments
- Enforcing county environmental regulations
- Developing initiatives for continued public health and safety
