Notary Registration
To become a Notary Public in Minnesota you must apply to the Minnesota Secretary of State . The Minnesota Secretary of State will issue a Notary Commission Certificate. This certificate must be registered with the Minnesota county in which you reside and in person. When you register with the county, please bring the following:
- Notary Commission Certificate from the Minnesota Secretary of State
- Government issued picture ID with current address
- $20.00 fee in cash, credit card or check made payable to the Otter Tail County Recorder.
