You can come to the driver’s license center in person or call the number on your receipt (651-201-7777).
How early can I renew my driver’s license?
For customers turning 21, their application can be submitted 60 days prior to their 21st birthday; however, their new card will not be mailed until their 21st birthday. Customers can renew their license or identification card anytime within 9 months of their expiration date.
What forms of ID are required for air travel?
After May 7, 2025 every air traveler 18 years of age or older will need a REAL ID, enhanced driver’s license or ID, or passport to fly within the United States or enter federal facilities. Visit the Travel Security Administration (TSA) website for current identification requirements for travel.
