Address and Sign Requests
An address is needed for all habitable structures in Otter Tail County. A habitable structure serves as a residence for both permanent and/or seasonal structures.
- The United States Post Office has adopted our addressing system for mail.
- There is no fee for a E911 address or replacement sign.
How to apply for a new address
Before you apply, you must have a driveway so that an accurate location can be determined. Once a request is submitted, you’ll receive the assigned address in approximately two weeks.
To request an E911 address, click on the link below and complete the application. You will need to know your 14-digit parcel number which you can find on your tax statement.
How to request a replacement sign
Click on the link below and complete the application. Your replacement sign will be installed in 6-8 weeks by the Highway Department.
