How to Register Your Dock or Lift
Minnesota State Law requires docks and lifts be dried for 21 days before putting them in another body of water. To raise awareness of this law, Otter Tail County adopted a Dock and Riparian Use Ordinance. Before selling your dock or lift please call 218-998-8113 to register, or click the blue link below to use our online registration system.
Information to be collected from seller:
- First Name, Last Name of Registrant
- Address of Registrant
- Address where equipment is located (if different from Registrant Address)
- Type of Equipment (Dock or boat lift)
- Origin Lake Name and Lake Number
- Destination Lake Name and Lake Number
- Date equipment removed from water
