The removal of snow and ice from county highways is the most important job confronting the Highway Department maintenance personnel during the winter season. Our goal is to keep people and products moving as efficiently and safely as possible on our highways during adverse winter weather conditions within the limits of the Highway Department’s financial resources and staffing levels.
2025 – 2026 Route Map
County policy states that snow removal will begin, in the judgement of the County Engineer or the Highway Maintenance Supervisor, when the accumulation reaches a point where it inhibits traffic flow or is starting to compact on highways. Normal plowing start time is 3:00 a.m. Plowing will continue as visibility allows.
