Business & Workforce Development
Why Invest in Workforce?
The current workforce shortage will become more severe with the projected reduction in the available workforce, continued aging of the overall population, and widening skills gap.
Otter Tail County makes intentional investments in rural resident recruitment efforts to make the county front and center when people are looking for a place to relocate. In addition to recruiting new workers, the County is also developing programs to strategically engage unemployed and underemployed individuals in the workforce and the future workforce.
‘OTC Works’ is the County’s workforce strategy to promote opportunities, provide training to better recruit and retain, and create connections for workforce development.
