Safe Streets and Roads for All Safety Action Plan

About the Safety Action Plan

Otter Tail County is developing a Comprehensive Roadway Safety Action Plan through the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) federal grant program, funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. This Plan aims to reduce and ultimately eliminate serious injuries and fatalities on roadways throughout the county, for all users, including people walking, biking, driving, using public transit, or operating commercial vehicles.

Too many lives are lost or changed forever due to preventable traffic crashes every year. The Safety Action Plan will take a data-driven, community-informed approach to improving roadway safety. With your help through public involvement, we’ll analyze crash data, identify high-risk areas, and propose practical solutions—infrastructure, education, or enforcement—that improve safety for everyone.

Safety Action Plan Task Force

The Plan is guided by a Safety Action Plan Task Force of local leaders, transportation professionals, and community representatives. The team meets regularly to move the Plan forward.
