CSAH 1 – Fir/Friberg Roundabout

Project substantially complete.

Aerial view of the Fir-Friberg roundabout

As the City of Fergus Falls and surrounding areas grow, increased traffic volumes have caused issues at the intersection of Fir Avenue and Friberg Avenue with above average crash rates, increased driver delays, and difficulties for pedestrians and bicyclists navigating this intersection. Because of these issues, Otter Tail County and the city identified this intersection as one of needed improvements to safely accommodate traffic and multi-modal travelers. The county and city have partnered to develop a roundabout design for the intersection of Fir Avenue and Friberg Avenue.
