Environmental Health works to reduce or prevent environmental health hazards through education, inspection, and enforcement. Environmental Health also investigates possible public health nuisances and solid waste violations.
- Inspection and enforcement of licensed establishments within Otter Tail and Wilkin counties
- Evaluate, educate, and promote safe environmental practices using a consistent, risk-based, collaborative approach to ensure health and safety
- Enforce county environmental regulations & ordinances
- Provide education and resource information on environmental conditions that may impact health
- Develop environmental health initiatives for continued public health and safety
- Respond to complaints, public health nuisances, and natural disasters
